Enjoy their newest exhibit, Ocean Wonders: Sharks!. This state of the art exhibit features sharks from around the world with a focus on the wildlife– including rays, turtles, and vast schools of fish– that inhabits the waters right here in the City of Islands. With its location on the beach at Coney Island, and its work to practice conservation locally, the New York Aquarium has a unique role connecting people to wildlife.

In this interactive show, the bond the sea lions have with their trainers take center stage. The animals learn behaviors from them that stimulate their natural instincts and aid in their care.
The Glover’s Reef display offers a snorkler’s-eye view of colorful marine life.
Many ocean species spend time along rocky shores. Penguins use the cliffs for nesting, and sea otters, and seals will sometimes rest out of the water.

Sharks, Ray & Turtles
Sand tiger sharks often swim with their mouths open, exposing their many, many sharp teeth. Don’t fret, though. They aren’t considered a danger to people.

Sea Otter Feedings
